Dealer action required. Quarantine every affected unit in your inventory and on your floor today. Do not sell, deliver or return an affected machine to a customer until the inspection has been completed and recorded.

Hazard	A blade disc centre bolt torqued below specification at assembly can loosen in service, allowing the blade disc to move on the crankshaft and contact the deck skirt. A liberated blade poses a laceration and impact hazard to the operator and to bystanders.
Remedy	Inspect and re-torque, replace where required. Owners should stop using the mower immediately and contact their dealer for a free inspection. The centre bolt is replaced at no charge on every affected unit.

Description

This notice involves the Masport President 1500 AL 3'n1 walk-behind mower with the 18 inch aluminium deck and the Quadcut four-blade disc. The machine is blue with a black engine cover. The model number 561751 and the serial number are printed on the silver rating plate on the rear of the deck, below the catcher mounting.

Dealer action

Stop sale and stop use. Tag and quarantine every 561751 in inventory, including boxed units, and every one in your service queue.
Run each serial through Warranty & serials.
Order the blade disc centre bolt kit at no charge, freight prepaid, one per affected unit. Do not order against customer pay.
Inspect and re-torque to the figures in SB-2026-04: new centre bolt at 45 Nm, four blade bolts at 20 Nm in a cross pattern. Flat-rate allowance 0.4 h per unit.
Apply the completion mark: a blue dot on the rating plate, and on the carton label for boxed units. A unit already carrying a blue dot has been inspected and is not included in this notice.
File one claim per unit from Warranty claims, quoting campaign 26-004 and the machine serial number in the fault description. Notice claims are reviewed and credited on the same queue as warranty claims.
Owner notification letters are mailed by the distributor. Handle walk-ins the same way.
